IT ALL SOUNDS GREAT, BUT WHAT DOES THE TECHNOLOGY ACTUALLY DO?
Incorporating our proprietary piezoelectric composite biomaterial into orthopedic implant design first allows us to stabilize the fracture or joint to allow bone healing to occur (this is the same as any other fixation type device). The osteoinductive properties of our biomaterial help promote bone healing by mimicking the electromechanical properties of natural bone. The biomaterial itself as it utilizes a new manufacturing process (patent pending).
